Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. All materials are provided. This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!

Art teacher, Liz Ndoye, will make October our “Return to Our Basics” month. Our theme will be to refresh ourselves. Ndoye wants to re-introduce life drawing. She believes that this will re-inspire our artistic enthusiasm and energy, and continue to build on our growing and improving observational and drawing skills.

During the third class of October’s refresh, restart theme, on October 16, 2024, we will look at the work of figurative painter Jesse Mockrin who has an unusual take on her vision of the human figure. This class will focus on learning to draw particular parts of the human figure that cause certain challenges for both the beginning and more experienced artist - like hands and feet, ears and faces.

This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.

Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.

If you have any questions or have problems logging on, please email laura.knittel@hobokenlibrary.org.
