Girl Scout Troop 10309 presents: Our Soil Community in partnership with Hoboken Library, and Bloomberg Youth Climate Action Fund.
What is it and how to put together an integrated pest management plan. We will explore life cycles of insect pests, weeds and plant diseases as well as ways to monitor and prevent them. Together we can discuss what were the pests of your garden this year and how to plan better for your 2025 growing season. 11/9 Saturday 11am in Small Programming Room at Hoboken Main Library.
Instructor: Erin Shroll, horticulturist of 25yrs, embarking on a new business, Blue Herons Farm and Native Nursery with business partner, Gisela Ferrer. Throughout her career, Erin has enjoyed many aspects of horticulture including her research on green roofs. Currently working as Program Supervisor of Agriculture Business and Horticulture Science at Sussex County Community College and recently enrolled in Nicole Masters’ CREATE program, Erin is intensively studying regenerative agricultural practices.
