In our first class on Nov. 6, 2024, we will be looking at the work of Angel Otero. Otero was born in 1981 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He now lives and works in Brooklyn, NY and is best known for his process- based paintings, collages, and sculptural works that venerate the inherent qualities of his material of choice, oil paint. Employing various methods of collage, Otero explores the potential for abstraction to meaningfully engage memory and identity using line, form, and color. Students who attend this class will explore the use of acrylics to create abstract paintings
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
