Join Art with Liz every week at the library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. All materials are provided. This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!
Shani Rhys James is a Welsh painter based
in Llangadfan, Powys. She has been described as "arguably one
of the most exciting and successful painters of her
generation” and "one of Wales' most significant living artists". She
was elected to the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art in 1994. In the
2006 New Years Honours she was appointed Member of
the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for "services to art”.
She is a fantastic portrait painter and so our project for this class will also
be portraits - but this time self-portraits. We have not done this in
sometime so it will be a great opportunity to revisit these skills.
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
