For this class we will look at the art of the Indian American artist, Chitra Ganesh. Chitra Ganesh is a visual artist based in Brooklyn. Her work across media includes charcoal drawings,
digital collages, films, web projects, photographs, and wall murals. Ganesh draws from mythology, literature, and popular culture such as comics and anime to reveal feminist and narratives from the past and
to imagine new visions of the future. Students will make collages and mixed media works from photos and magazines to express stories from their past.
Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. All materials are provided. This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
