Our final class in June, will be a less contemporary artist but a very fascinating one, Hector Hyppolite. Hyppolite was a Haitian painter.
Considered as the "Grand Maître of Haitian Art”. He was discovered by the great French surrealist Andre Breton who made Hector into a
renowned Haitian painter. His specialty was street scenes of everyday Haitian life and portraits of friends and folks he encountered on the
streets. We too will practice our skills in making portraits and students in this final class of June will have the opportunity to create their own
portraits from a variety of images of people provided in class.
