On Monday, June 16, 2025, at 6:30 pm in the 2nd Floor Program room at the Hoboken Library, 500 Park Avenue, Milesquare Toastmasters will host a forty-five minute meeting and Q&A.
Perhaps you’re a teacher who has to prepare a lecture. Or a salesman who has to deliver a pitch. Or a manager addressing senior staff. Or at a job interview and being grilled. Or a musician getting ready to perform. How you handle the situation can be the difference between success and failure.
Toastmasters is an international non-profit organization that practices public speaking and leadership development. Its goal is to help its members grow as effective speakers. Many corporations and colleges have toastmaster groups.
Toastmasters has helped people who are learning English to practice their language skills, people who are stutterers with their speaking skills, and people improve their interpersonal skills.
After the meeting, there is the regular Milesquare Toastmaster meeting at the Hudson School, 601 Park Avenue (a block away) which begins at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 for anyone who would like to also attend.
