Free Unemployment Insurance Enrollment Assistance at Hoboken Public Library
As a proud recipient of the NJ DOL Cares Grant, Hoboken Public Library is offering free Unemployment Insurance Enrollment Assistance!
Location: Small Programming Room Day: Wednesdays
Library staff will guide you through the application process and help troubleshoot any questions you may have.
Please bring:
- Valid identification
- Any documents related to your work history
Note: Assistance is available only for New Jersey Unemployment Insurance.

Need an ID? We Can Help!
Join us in the Small Programming Room to apply for a new or replacement ID.
Social Work Department will provide assistance with the application process. Additionally, our Social Work Interns can help connect you to other local services if needed.
Please bring any vital documents you have:
- Passport, birth certificate, Social Security card, or SSN
- Official letter of residence from a shelter (if applicable)
- Prison release form (if applicable)
We will walk you through the MVC ID application process, including the six points of ID. If you need other vital documents, such as a replacement birth certificate or Social Security card, we’ll assist you with that process as well.
