Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
In this class we will feature William Kentridge, who is a South African artist best known for his prints, drawings,
and animated films. Kentridge epitomizes the word genius - he is the whole package! He has the skills, the mastery, and the conceptual dexterity to create the most visually astounding art that one could ever see. Students in this class should be prepared to be literally wowed. His media of choice is charcoal - so we will revisit suing charcoal drawing. We will also practice our figurative imagery and a model will be present for a session of life drawing
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!
