Join us for the Hoboken Library Festival on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 12:00–3:00 p.m. at the Main Library (500 Park Avenue) and Grand Street Branch (124 Grand Street).
This free community celebration brings neighbors together for an afternoon filled with books, creativity, and performances. Highlights this year include:
- Special Guests: Meet Redd, the official mascot of the New York Red Bulls, making a special appearance at the festival.
- Live Performances: Enjoy music from the Salsa Rockers, the high-energy stage presence of SCOWL, at the Main Library. Watch and pop bubbles at the NJ Bubble Party at Grand Street.
- Crafts & Activities for All Ages: Kids, teens, and adults can all dive into hands-on creative projects designed to showcase the library’s programs.
- Story Times: Cozy corners and read-alouds for children and families, including special guest Harmonica Sunbeam.
- Used Book Sale: Hoboken Public Library Friends & Foundation have an extraordinarily wide and varied selection of gently used books in all genres, for all ages! Each purchase directly supports your local library.
- Book Swaps: Bring a favorite, leave with something new — share stories with fellow Hobokenites.
- Library Card Sign-Ups & App Launch: Learn about everything the library offers, from digital resources to upcoming fall programs.
- Food & Refreshments: Local vendors will be on-site in the Small Program Room & Garden, making it easy to grab a refreshing drink while enjoying the festival. Guests can also stick around for a live empanada making demo with samples to try.
Whether you’re here for the music, the crafts, the books, or the community connections, the Hoboken Library Festival is the place to be this September — a true Mile Square celebration of reading, creativity, and togetherness.
