Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
This class will bring us to a return study of the great Kay Walkingstick. Kay
WalkingStick is a Native American landscape artist and a member of the Cherokee Nation. Her
later landscape paintings, executed in oil paint on wood panels often include patterns based
on Southwest American Indian rugs, pottery, and other artworks.
Students will return to their own practice in landscape painting but incorporate native American traditional symbols in the
images the they create in an homage to Ms. Walkingstick and her oeuvre.
All materials are provided. This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners.
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube. All are welcome!
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
