Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
The artist of focus for this class will be the Mexican artist Francisco Toledo. Toledo
produced thousands of works of art and became widely regarded as one of Mexico's most
important contemporary artists. An activist as well as an artist, he promoted the artistic culture
and heritage of Oaxaca state. Toledo was considered part of the Breakaway Generation of
Mexican art. He produced raw and powerful work. Students will use charcoal and conte
crayons to create works that simulate his very original style of work
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
