Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
For the third class in December, we will look at a new, cutting edge artist from South Korea
named Moka Lee. Although it may be debatable that her work is celebratory, it does represent
the world the way it really is now. She makes portraits from social media posts - that mirror
what we see on social media platforms 24/7. They are amazing recreations of snapshot
uploads on social sites that are so emblematic of life as it really is today that make Ms. Lee’s
work the perfect fit for our monthly theme. Students will be invited to choose one of their own
Facebook or Instagram entries and practice their skills at self-portraiture.
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
