Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
For our final class in November, November 26, student artists will take a close look at the art of
Cara Romero. Romero is an American photographer known for her digital photography that
examines Indigenous life through a contemporary lens. She lives in both Santa Fe, New
Mexico and the Mojave Desert. She is an enrolled citizen of the Chemehuevi Indian Tribe. She
creates powerful and thought provoking photographic portraits of Native American people.
Students will be given the option of either working on portraits inspired by her photos or
photos that reflect their own ancestry. Skills in doing portraits will be demonstrated and
practiced.
All are welcome!
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
