Art with Liz: Lecture and Workshop

Featured Artist, Rackstraw Downes

Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!

Our first class in January will feature the artist, Rackstraw Downes, a British-born realist painter and author. His oil
paintings are notable for their meticulous detail accumulated during months of pleinair
sessions, depictions of industry and the environment, and elongated compositions with
complex perspective. He is inspired by the old masters of the past to create new works that,
although realistic visually - convey a new, vital, and exciting beauty. Students will continue
work on practicing their landscape skills.

All materials are provided. This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!

This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.

Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
