For this class we will learn about is Margaret Taylor Burroughs.
Margaret Taylor Goss, was an American visual artist,
writer, poet, educator, and arts organizer. She co-founded the Ebony
Museum of Chicago, now the DuSable Museum of African American
History. She is most famous for her fabulous black and white linoleum
block prints. These are highly evocative and very beautiful. She used
paint and fabric to make images of everyday African American life.
Artists who participate in this class will get to create their black and
white prints.
