Learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose in this training with Prevention Links. Participants will learn how to use Narcan and respond safely in an emergency.
The Hoboken Public Library, in partnership with Prevention Links, is offering an Overdose Reversal Training focused on recognizing and responding to opioid overdoses. This important, life-saving workshop will teach participants how to identify the signs of an overdose and take appropriate action.
Attendees will learn how Narcan (naloxone) works, when to use it, and how to administer it safely. The training will also cover steps to take while waiting for emergency responders and how community members can play a role in preventing overdose deaths.
This program is open to adults and is designed for anyone who wants to be prepared to help in an emergency. No prior medical experience is necessary.
A certificate will be provided after completion of the training.
