Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
March is Women’s History Month, and during our Art With Liz classes, we will really pay homage to the many
fantastic female artists who have been creating for centuries. Frequently overlooked, female artists are
powerful artists and deserve recognition. We shall give it to them through our appreciation and
practice.
In our first class, a young Israeli-American named Gal Cohen will be our artist of focus. Gal Cohen is a
New York City-based visual artist who works primarily in the painting field, incorporating mixed
media and printmaking techniques in her 2D works. Cohen earned her MFA in Fine Arts at Parsons
School of Design (2018) and her BFA in Fine Arts at Bezalel Academy, Jerusalem (2009).
All are welcome!
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
