Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
In this class, we will examine and celebrate the paradoxical paintings of Shara Hughes. A young
American painter who questions through her work what is conventionally beautiful and what is
ugly. She starts with objects considered to be traditionally beautiful and renders them in ways
that some may find the opposite of that. Students will have to determine for themselves what they
think. Still life work will be what we focus on, and flowers will be our subject as they famously are
for Ms. Hughes. All are welcome!
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
