Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
For this class we will read a glorious poem about life and death by the Ruth Lilly
award winning poet Li-Young Lee. There are so many visual images in this poem of natural
phenomenon and the natural evolving and changing of life forms over time. Students will be
challenged to create images of how living creatures change during the course of their life cycle.
We will look at the art of Kiki Smith and then practice our own drawing skills by looking at and
observing small shapes and natural objects in still life.
This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
