Art with Liz: Lecture and Workshop

Featured Artist: Romare Bearden

Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!

For this class we will look at the great collage art of Romare Bearden. The amazing African
American collage artist whose works visual emulate the jazzy, choppy rhythm of Brooks’
poetry. We will proceed to make our own collage as companion works inspired by both the
artistry of Bearden and the musicality of Brooks.

All materials are provided. This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!

This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.

Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
