Journalist and historian Irwin Chusid, a leading expert on 19th-century baseball, will explore the legendary history of Hoboken’s Elysian Fields. This iconic site is considered one of the birthplaces of modern baseball, hosting some of the earliest recorded games. Chusid, who has lectured at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, will share his extensive research and insights into how Hoboken helped shape America’s pastime.
