During our first class on Wednesday, May 6 will will focus on the great Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi. Noguchi was an American
artist and landscape architect whose artistic career spanned six decades, from the 1920s onward. Known for his sculpture and public
artworks, Noguchi also designed stage sets for various Martha Graham productions, and several mass-produced lamps and furniture pieces,
some of which are still manufactured and sold. We will talk about the beauty of natural forms and create drawings in which we explore the
beauty of tone and value while practicing our skills in shading techniques.
All are welcome!
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
