Large Program RoomJoin Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
The artist for this class is Maya Lin. Lin is an American designer and sculptor. In 1981,
while an undergraduate a Yale University, she achieved national recognition when she won a national design competition for the
planned Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Maya Lin is, as was Noguchi, fascinated by the forces of nature and in particular
nature. We will look at and discuss her ground breaking sculptures about how wind and water shape the land and then create our own
landscapes that show the effects of the passage of water over land. Water colors will be the medium of choice on this project.
All are welcome!
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
If you have any questions or have problems logging on, please email laura.knittel@hobokenlibrary.org.
