Small Program Room & GardenYour voice has power, and your story matters.
This upcoming Open Mic night is a dedicated safe space designed entirely around healing, expression, and solidarity.
This event offers a gentle, judgment-free sanctuary for survivors to speak their truths, reclaim their narratives, and find strength in community.
Whether you want to share your journey through spoken word, poetry, music, or prose, or if you simply wish to sit in the audience and offer your quiet, compassionate support, you are welcome here. We will close our evening together with a guided journaling session, offering everyone a quiet, grounded space to process, reflect, and gently put pen to paper in a supportive environment.
What to Expect:
- A Safe & Supportive Environment: A trauma-informed space where you can share at your own comfort level.
- Creative Expression: An open mic for poetry, storytelling, song, or shared reflection.
- Closing Journaling Session: A dedicated, peaceful time at the end of the event to process your thoughts and write for your own personal healing. (Journals and pens will be provided!)
- On-Site Support: Compassionate advocates and counsellors will be present to offer quiet support and resources to anyone who needs them.
Come to speak out, come to listen, or simply come to be in a space where you are believed and supported. You do not have to carry your story alone.
This event is proudly hosted at the Hoboken Public Library in gentle partnership with Hudson Speaks.
