Art with Liz: Lecture and Workshop

Featured Artist - Werner Bronkhorst

Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!

*Special Note: Art with Liz will be held at a new location while the library goes under construction from August 13, 2026 through September 8, 2026. Classes will be held at Hoboken Library's Grand Street branch, located at 124 Grand Street, on the second floor, in the Health Department's program room.

Please follow the way finding signs once you enter the building. If you cannot make it in person, you can register to receive a zoom link so you can join remotely and or watch us on YouTube either on the same day or view the class video at your leisure.

For this class we will be introducing a new, contemporary artist from South Africa named Werner Bronkhorst. Bronkhorst is an artist with a quirky sense of humor who combines tiny, hyper-realistic images with very abstract backgrounds. Artists who take this class will be inspired to try and create their own pictures that are a mix of realism and abstraction. The finished works will be a total celebration of self and summer!

All materials are provided. This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!

This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.

Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
