Art with Liz: Lecture and Workshop
Wednesday, October 14
10:30am - 12:30pm
Join Art with Liz every week at the Library to learn about classic and contemporary artists, followed by a free art workshop. In-person and live on Zoom & YouTube!
*Special Note: Art with Liz will be held at a new location while the library is under construction. Classes will be held at Hoboken Library's Grand Street branch, located at 124 Grand Street, on the second floor, in the Health Department's program room.
Please follow the way finding signs once you enter the building. If you cannot make it in person, you can register to receive a zoom link so you can join remotely and or watch us on YouTube either on the same day or view the class video at your leisure.
Our featured artist for this class will be another Mexican American artist Raul de Nieves who creates intricate and complicated
installations using plastic beads. We will talk about how an artist can use cheap, ubiquitous, and overlooked materials to create
amazingly beautiful pieces of art. We will discuss the ways that an artist’s culture and heritage influence and inspire their work.
Students will then construct a collage made with plastic beads of their own.
All materials are provided. This class is open to artists of any level, including beginners. All are welcome!
This program will be held both in person and live on Zoom and YouTube.
Registration is required whether you are attending in person or online. Registration closes 15 minutes before each class. You will receive the Zoom link and password 15 minutes before the class begins.
If you have any questions or have problems logging on, please email laura.knittel@hobokenlibrary.org.
