Story Time RoomJoin the Sound Squad on an exciting linguistic adventure where young learners dive into the world of word families through a dynamic, self-guided activity!
Designed especially for early readers, this program focuses on enhancing phonics skills and expanding vocabulary by exploring the captivating concept of word families. Within this engaging worksheet, children will discover the magic of predictable ending patterns, known as rimes, paired with beginning sounds, called onsets. By identifying and creating connections between words in the same family, participants will boost their reading confidence and fluency.
This program is perfect for fostering a supportive and playful learning environment where children can build confidence and enjoy the excitement of phonics exploration.
Each session is designed to be completed in approximately 30 minutes, though the flexible nature of the program allows your child to progress at a comfortable speed. The program provides a fun opportunity for caregivers to participate and support their child's learning and development and requires hands on participation from participants of all ages.
Can't join us? After the program this session's work packets will be available for take-home in the Children's Room while supplies last.
