AARP Free Tax Assistance

AARP Tax-Aide will be at the Hoboken Library to help you file your state and federal taxes by appointment only!

AARP TAX-AIDE PROVIDES FEDERAL AND STATE INCOME TAXES ELECTRONICALLY PREPARED AND FILED BY IRS-CERTIFIED VOLUNTEERS      

REMEMBER: THE EARLIER YOU FILE, THE EARLIER YOU GET YOUR REFUND IF YOU FILE EARLY, AND OWE – YOU HAVE UNTIL APRIL 15th TO PAY!

Tax Preparation is by appointment only. We cannot accommodate walk-ins.

There are no age or income requirements and you do not need to be an AARP member.

ASSISTANCE DATES:

• Saturday, March 8 at 500 Park Avenue, Hoboken, NJ (Hoboken Public Library)
• Monday, March 10 at 124 Grand Street, Hoboken, NJ (Grand Street Branch Library)

 TO BE ELIGIBLE YOU MUST:

• Have lived in New Jersey for all of 2024.
• Have a Social Security number or ITIN number that allows you to work in the US.
• Work only in New Jersey and/or New York, or have other taxable U.S. income.
• NOT have income from rental property, or a business with employees, inventory, a loss, or over $50,000 in total expenses, or be a “For Hire Driver” (Uber, Lyft, etc.).
• Other restrictions may apply. If you have an unusual situation, please ask about it when making your appointment.
